About this Event
Lets settle in to Fall with a hands-on two-part workshop led by Isaac Cardenas, “Papa Bear.” Over the course of two sessions, participants will learn the process of creating their own pair of moccasins by hand, making this a meaningful opportunity to learn and connect through the art of moccasin making.
The workshop will take place on November 7 and November 14, from 12:00–3:00 PM. Participants must attend both sessions to complete their moccasins.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will also be invited to share their newly created moccasins with our community by allowing us to feature them in a special community gallery exhibition at our Spirit Waters Art Gallery. This exhibit will celebrate the craftsmanship and stories represented through each participant’s unique pair of moccasins. After the exhibit participants can verbally communicate a pickup date or a delivery method.
This is a ticketed workshop, supplies and materials will be provided.
Light refreshments will be provided.
