The Missoula Family of Choirs (MFC) and the Rotary Club of Missoula Downtown are excited to announce open youth auditions for the inaugural youth talent showcase—MissoulaRising Stars, a joyful community event celebrating the creativity and spirit of Missoula’s young people. This new partnership brings together two organizations committed to youth development,
arts access, and community service.
Missoula Rising Stars will take place Sunday, November 22 at 3:00 PM at the Hellgate High School Auditorium. Youth in grades K–8 are invited to share their talents in music, dance, theater, comedy,
spoken word, magic, cultural performance, and other family-friendly stage acts. The event is designed to create a joyful community talent showcase where Missoula children can
share their talents and be celebrated by family, friends, and neighbors. Missoula Rising Stars is a showcase—not a competition. Every performer is honored for their courage and creativity.
Screening Day: October 24
Screening will be held Saturday, October 24 from 12 PM–2 PM. The screening day serves as both an educational experience for participants and an opportunity for the selection committee to evaluate performance readiness, preparation, time
limits, and overall program variety. Youth will have the opportunity to:
• Gain confidence in front of performing arts professionals
• Receive positive feedback and coaching
• Learn what it takes to prepare for a public performance
All participants—whether or not selected for the final showcase—will benefit from a supportive, encouraging environment that helps them discover their own agency and potential.
Who Can Apply
No nomination is required. Any child in grades K–8 may apply. Individual performers, small groups, school ensembles, dance studios, and family acts are welcome. Why This Matters
Missoula Rising Stars reflects the shared values of MFC and Rotary: helping people discover their potential and use it to make a positive difference. This fundraiser supports accessible performance opportunities for youth, leadership and confidence-building experiences, high-quality production and educational programming, and a vibrant, connected arts community in Missoula. “For young people, stepping onto a stage can be a powerful way to discover confidence, voice, and the courage to be seen and heard.”
