Food Banks Mississauga and The Metamorphosis Network are co-hosting a mayoral candidate debate and you're invited!The debate, moderated by Mark McAllister of CityNews, will take place on Thursday, October 1 at Food Banks Mississauga’s warehouse (4544 Eastgate Parkway, Mississauga ON L4W 3W6) from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
The upcoming Mississauga mayoral election is a chance for you to tell candidates what your priorities are in our growing city. Food Banks Mississauga and our network of 60+ food programs continue to see a record-breaking number of food bank visits, and food insecurity is on the rise with no end in sight. You can hear directly from the candidates on their vision and strategies for addressing key issues facing the city, like poverty alleviation and food security.
This debate is being held by Food Banks Mississauga and The Metamorphosis Network to ensure that poverty alleviation, including income and housing security, and food security are key platform issues for Mississauga mayoral candidates.
The four top polling candidates will be invited to participate in the debate and will be confirmed by September 18.
