About this Event
Learn gardening basics at our Fall Season Garden Care Workshop.
We’ll walk you through garden care and maintenance fundamentals for the Fall season like planting fall crops & cover crops, saving seeds, planting garlic and tips on how to put your garden to bed. Emphasis will be placed on organic, sustainable gardening techniques that respond to Mississauga’s changing climate through the promotion of healthy soil, water conservation, and other low-impact gardening. Great for residents with limited or no gardening experience. Everyone is welcome.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
This workshop will include a hands-on gardening activity indoors involving saving seeds from seed heads. The Fall Season Garden Care Workshop is the third of our four-part Homegrown Mississauga Gardening Series. Subsequent sessions will take place throughout the year so keep an eye out for winter workshop dates!
