About this Event
A Stand-Up Comedy and Storytelling Variety Show
This edition, Hot Mess Summer, celebrates the season of bad decisions, worse planning, and absolutely zero regrets. Through hilarious stand-up and heartfelt storytelling, performers dig into travel disasters, summer chaos, spontaneous choices that made total sense at the time, and the kind of stories you swore you'd never tell — out loud, in public. Expect big laughs, brave confessions, and proof that the messiest summers make the best material.
Miss Shannan hosts an ever-rotating cast of award-winning Stand-Up Comedians and Storytellers. This Hot Mess Summer edition features Miss Shannan, along with Julia Gustafson, Matt Dooyema, Joe Coccozzello, Khadijah Cooper, and JC Lippold.
Don’t miss Miss Shannan Paul—an award-winning storyteller and comedian known for her quick wit and infectious energy. Named “Best Stand-Up Comedian” by City Pages, she’s performed at SXSW, Laughs TV, and Nick Mom’s Night Out, and shared the stage with legends like Louie Anderson and Sinbad. A regular host for The Moth and a familiar face on The Jason Show, Miss Shannan also brings her pop culture charm to MyTalk 107.1, 830 WCCO, and her podcast Be Our Geek.
“With comedy that’s personal and relatable, she has the ability to make you feel like you’ve been friends for years, even if you’re only seeing her for the very first time.” – City Pages Patrick Strait, comedy writer, MNcomedy.com
