Synopsis

High school student Hee-young, a member of the shooting team, feels that her lover Sun-joo’s feelings for her have faded and shifted toward Bo-hyun. After her attempts to win Sun-joo’s heart back end up hurting her, Hee-young takes revenge on Bo-hyun’s wife, Ah-young. Later, when she witnesses Bo-hyun and Sun-joo kissing, Hee-young realizes that everything she had set her sights on was misguided.

Synopsis

Suyeon, a Korean girl with a Vietnamese mother, suffers from shinbyeong (a spiritual illness). She survives the grueling initiation ritual, only to discover the spirit possessing her is a Vietnamese god.

The local shaman refuses to help, claiming Suyeon must go to Vietnam to receive a foreign deity. Determined to stay in the only home she knows, Suyeon and her friends launch a wild operation to keep her in Korea.

*piri : A traditional Korean bamboo flute used in court and folk music

**naerimgut : a Korean shamanic ritual in which a person receives a spirit, marking their initiation as a shaman
