About this Event

Join The 19th on Wednesday, September 30 in downtown Austin for the second annual Ronya Kozmetsky Salon for Women in Business — an afternoon of conversation, connection and community.

Made possible by Cindy and Greg Kozmetsky in memory of Greg's late mother, Ronya Kozmetsky — a philanthropist, educator and feminist who championed women's leadership and opportunity — this annual gathering brings together women and LGBTQ+ people from across industries, from aspiring entrepreneurs to accomplished executives and business leaders.

The 19th’s economy and childcare reporter Chabeli Carrazana will lead a conversation with:

  • Felecia Hatcher, CEO of Black Ambition Prize
  • Monica Nassif, founder of Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day and author

They’ll talk about what they’ve learned from building businesses and organizations, navigating change and taking risks as they share practical insights from their careers.

Afterward, attendees can join small, focused conversations with Monica and Felecia, as well as Semira Nikou, co-founder of Better Sour, and Leslie Wingo, advertising executive and storyteller.

These informal discussions will give attendees a chance to ask questions, exchange ideas and learn directly from women with experience building companies, leading teams and navigating different stages of their careers.

Expect smart conversation, useful takeaways, meaningful connections and refreshments in an intimate setting.

Plus, meet The 19th’s newest and outgoing Frances Ellen Watkins Harper Fellows—early- and mid-career HBCU alums who spend a year embedded on our news, tech and development teams
