Some practices will take place in silence, while others may involve engaging with a partner or the larger group.
No prior meditation experience is necessary. Participants are encouraged to participate at a pace that feels comfortable and appropriate for them.
The practices are designed to cultivate greater awareness of thoughts, emotions, sensations, and relational patterns as they arise in the present moment. Many people leave with a deeper understanding of themselves, a greater appreciation for the inner worlds of others, and practical experience bringing mindfulness into human connection.
About the Facilitator
Aviva Shore is a meditation practitioner, facilitator, and Registered Psychotherapist (Q) whose work bridges contemplative practice, interpersonal awareness, and psychological insight. Her background includes thousands of hours of silent meditation practice on intensive retreat, study with a diverse range of meditation teachers and traditions, and extensive experience in relational mindfulness practices.
In 2020, Aviva completed training as a social meditation facilitator and has spent years exploring modalities that bring awareness into relationship, including social noting, circling-style practices, authentic relating, and partner inquiry.
Drawing from both contemplative and therapeutic traditions, Aviva creates spaces that invite curiosity, presence, and deeper connection with oneself and others. Her facilitation style is grounded, experiential, and focused on helping participants discover insights through direct experience rather than theory alone.
