Planting native milkweed is a great way to support the beautiful Monarch Butterfly! Milkweed is the only food source for monarch caterpillars and the increased scarcity of it has been a contributing factor in the dwindling numbers of this threatened species.
Join us as we make Milkweed Seed Bombs to distribute and provide much-needed habitat for this magnificent insect next spring! Participants will get to make a minimum of 3 seed bombs each with common milkweed and other native wildflower species. This is a drop-in event, so attendees are welcome to stop by anytime between 1:00 and 2:00 pm on the event date. Attendees are also welcome to stay for a hike across Stringer's Ridge after the activity is finished. ***Registration Required***
