About Miesha:Meisha Herron was born and raised in the heart of Chicago, where her love for music took roots as she studied guitar at Columbia College Chicago.
In 2018, she relocated to Northern Shenandoah Valley to be a mostly solo acoustic performer in wineries, breweries and outdoor festivals. She has two singles out, “Missing” (a song she wrote about traveling to MS in her youth and the love of family) and “When I Heard the News (2024)” on Spotify & All Platforms. She is currently working on putting out new material. She released a 6 original song EP recorded live in Chicago with acoustic guitar and a drum accompaniment. She is a multi-instrumentalists and plays 6 & 12 string guitar, bass, drums and harmonica. She is also a pioneer by opening doors which may have been closed for women who come behind. She is an inspiration to women of all nationalities here in America and abroad by possessing an eclectic style and selection of songs with her guitar skills and voice.
For the last four seasons, she has been sharpening her chops, both vocally and guitar-wise through practice and performances. She was featured as an opening act at the Shenandoah Valley Music Fest at Orkney Springs Virginia for the Four Tops, Spinners, Don McLean and Mavis Staples (’24) and the Belle Grove Music festivals (Middletown, VA) two years in a row. She will also perform at various Town sponsored events (Leesburg Flower & Garden Show ’24-’26; First Fridays Winchester) in the region. She opened for Buddy Guy in 2023 at his club “Legends” in Chicago. Meeting him was a highlight and an inspiration for her to “focus”, “take care of ones’ self” and to “keep the blues alive” despite life’s struggles.
Her specialty are performances when she can deliver songs and make them her own. If you get a chance, you should check out her live performance when she’s in your area! She blends elements of folk, jazz, r&b, blues and more to give the listener a great live music experience.
