Denver-based producer MIDIcinal brings together electronic music, hip-hop, funk and soul with one goal in mind: keeping the dance floor moving. The project of producer Scott Rhatigan, MIDIcinal blends old-school boom bap, funky grooves, soulful samples and bass-heavy electronic production into a sound that feels equally at home in a late-night funk party or buried deep inside a wall of bass.
From smooth electro-soul and chopped-up hip-hop to straight-up funky bass music, expect a set built for getting down.
Adriance
Joining him from Denver is Adriance, a producer quickly carving out his own lane with a genre-bending sound he calls “electro-bass hop.” Pulling inspiration from hardware, arpeggiators, crate digging and hip-hop culture, Adriance combines heavy 808s, funky rhythms, rap samples, glitchy electronics and big bass into something familiar enough to groove to and weird enough to keep you guessing.
MIDIcinal and Adriance have already crossed paths on multiple collaborations, bringing their shared love of funk, hip-hop, electro-soul and bass music together in the studio — and now they’re bringing that energy to Fargo.
