About this Event
Step away from your screen and spend 30 quiet minutes with brush, ink, and paper.
In Chinese culture, calligraphy has long been more than beautiful writing. The way you hold the brush, breathe, and move through each stroke reflects your attention and state of mind. Traditionally, it has also been a practice for cultivating patience, focus, and inner steadiness.
Our facilitator will introduce a few simple brushstrokes and share a little about Chinese calligraphy. Most of the session is quiet practice, allowing your mind to settle through the rhythm of writing.
Tea will be served.
This is an open practice, not a formal calligraphy lesson. No experience is needed, and we provide all materials. Before you leave, you can turn a piece of your practice into a bookmark to take home.
Limited to 5 participants to keep the experience quiet and personal.
If you enjoy the experience and want to go deeper, our eight-week calligraphy course offers structured instruction in foundational brush techniques and Chinese calligraphy.
