Our goal is to bring together professionals, former prisoners, families, educators and the European Prison Educators (EPEA) from the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg to explore how EU youth policies can also reach young people in detention.Metaversing4Youth — an EU funded programme designed to strengthen all European youth policies under the theme CONNECT, ENGAGE & EMPOWER — provides an essential framework for this discussion. The programme highlights the need for inclusion, participation and empowerment for all young people, including those serving sentences who often remain outside mainstream youth initiatives.
