This food bank serves 18 counties in the Piedmont and Foothills of North Carolina. It provides 40 million meals each year and is a major source of food and support for more than 500 partners, including school-based pantries and weekend backpack programs for children.
According to No Kid Hungry, nearly 14 million American children live in food insecure households where access to proper nutrition and sufficient meals is limited or unavailable. In parts of Mast Store’s four-state region, one in four children don’t know where they’ll receive their next meal.
