MERIDIAN: Album Launch Concert Celebrating Women Composers
An evening of beautiful music, rediscovery, and celebration.
Join violinist and singer Ember-Leah Reed and Pianist Charissa Vandikas for the launch of Meridian, a new album celebrating the music of women composers whose artistry deserves to be heard and discovered.
Featuring works by Amy Beach, Elfrida Andrée, Lili Boulanger, Florence Price, and Pauline Viardot, this concert brings together a collection of expressive and evocative music for violin, exploring lyrical melodies, rich harmonies, and intimate musical storytelling.
Spanning different musical voices and generations, the programme offers an opportunity to discover remarkable works that have too often remained outside the familiar classical repertoire.
More than an album launch, Meridian is a celebration of musical discovery and the enduring power of these composers' voices. Through performance and recording, the project brings their music into the present, inviting audiences to experience its beauty, individuality, and emotional depth.
Come discover the music, celebrate these extraordinary composers, and experience Meridian live.
