About this Event
Take your pet back to the 80’s with Punky Pets, a playful collage and drawing workshop inspired by punk posters and DIY graphics. Combine bold colours, cut-out lettering, torn paper and drawing to create a poster celebrating your pet’s unique personality. Give them a band name, invent a rebellious slogan or just put their name in lights! No previous art experience needed. There will be guidance throughout and plenty of room to experiment. All materials are provided; just bring a digital or printed photograph of your pet to work from, and we’ll supply the rest. Led by Ella van der Straaten.
Following the opening of our new Ground Floor and Learning Centre on 6th November, BACKLIT Members are taking over the space with a programme of talks, creative workshops and community gatherings. Join us to explore new ideas, try something different, share experiences and connect with others through art, creativity and conversation.
