About this Event

What is it about food that stirs up a melting pot of emotions? From locally sourced organic produce and bush tucker to food trucks and fusion foods, WA’s food culture continues to reflect the people who call this place home.

As part of the State Library’s latest exhibition A Recipe For Life: The Food That Shapes Us, a panel of foodies, historians and trendsetters will discuss why culture, place and identity all play a part in WA’s continuing love affair with food from around the world.

Learn about the healing properties of traditional ingredients from Inner Spice founder Rutchi Kaushal at her pop-up spice stall, and sample foods from chef and panellist Tamara Rodriguez, whose catering company Casa Latina will take you on a culinary journey inspired by WA’s diverse cultural heritage.

Drinks available for purchase at the event bar.
