About this Event
Nestled in the heart of Faulconbridge, Dharug and Gundungurra Country, is a beautiful sandstone cottage that was once the home of Australian artist and writer Norman Lindsay, his wife Rose and their daughters.
Norman Lindsay's ship models are a testament to his passion for maritime history and design. His collection includes a variety of models, each representing different historical vessels and periods
On this specially curatored guided tour for Museum Members, we will discover Norman Lindsay’s paintings, illustrations and his ship model collection.
Then we will step into the original painting studio where he created his famous art and much-loved children’s book The Magic Pudding.
Join us on a guided tour of this wonderful house and explore the garden with fountains, sculptures and abush pool.
Includes a light lunch on the heritage verandah.
Meet at the Maritime Museum for a 9.30am departure by mini bus.
The tour will last around 2 hours and we will return to the Museum by 3.30pm approx.
