Meet the Artists: Live Sculpting & Fine Woodwork (Holiday Sip & Shop)

Step into the creative heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake this holiday season!

As part of Queenston Pottery’s 3rd Annual Holiday Sip & Shop, we invite you to a special dual-residency feature showcasing Visiting Artists Marzi Alimo and Hassan Ghanati (Zima Artworks).

Set inside our historic 48-year-old working pottery studio and multi-tiered gallery, this interactive afternoon offers an up-close look into two distinct fine craft traditions.

• Live Ceramic Sculpting (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM): Watch self-taught sculptor Marzi Alimo work live in the studio as she demonstrates her intricate, figurative surrealist ceramic sculpting techniques and discusses her creative journey.
• Artistry in Wood (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM): Meet award-winning woodworker Hassan Ghanati. Learn about his sustainable practices as he creates contemporary forms exclusively from locally sourced, fallen, or distressed trees.
• Holiday Sip & Shop (11:00 AM – 5:00 PM): Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine while you browse our fully stocked gallery of handcrafted studio ceramics, mugs, goblets, seasonal pieces, and fine wooden art.
• Door Prize Entry: Every attendee can enter our event door prize draw for a chance to win handcrafted studio pottery.

• Gallery & Sip & Shop Open: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Featured Artist Demos & Meet-and-Greet: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

• Admission: Free & open to the public. (Reserving a free ticket helps us estimate wine and refreshment quantities!)
• Parking: Free on-site parking is available directly in front of the gallery and along York Road.
