About this Event
In October 2025, an agreement was announced to - ostensibly - bring an end to Israel's assault on Gaza following the release of the hostages held there by Hamas since October 2023. Yet the reality on the ground in Gaza following this 'ceasefire' remains dire, with frequent resumptions of bombardment, restrictions on humanitarian aid, and proscription of humanitarian organisations.
In this panel event, we are joined by three surgeons and physicians: Dr Ebraheem Matar, Professor Martin Griffiths, and Mr Yassar Qureshi, with experience of delivering life-saving humanitarian care in Gaza before and/or after the 'ceasefire'. They will share their experiences and reflect on the current state of humanitarian medicine in Gaza.
This event will be hybrid, with tickets available both for in-person and online attendance.
