It's 1945 and the war is won, the bunting is up, and a Devon community is ready to celebrate. But behind the patriotic smiles and raised glasses, old grudges linger, rumours are rife, and everyone seems to have something to hide.
As the celebrations get underway, it becomes clear that years of pulling together haven’t stopped a few people from pulling each other apart. And when someone turns up dead, the prospect of a peaceful future suddenly seems rather optimistic.
With secrets emerging and accusations threatening to spoil the party, it soon becomes clear that not everyone is quite so happy to welcome the boys back home.
