About this Event
This meetup is for anyone working in (or looking to get into) people analytics, strategic workforce planning or other HR data related roles who wants to understand what good people analytics actually looks like in practice.
We’re a practitioner-led community focused on making people analytics more useful, more understandable, and more embedded in everyday HR decision-making. That includes supporting people who are newer to the field and want to learn what people analytics is, what it isn’t, and how it’s done in the real world .
What's the plan for the evening?
- Arrivals and informal networking
- Nibbles and more informal networking
- Talks from our speakers: Tom Loveday (One Model) + Harry King (PwC) + Tim Peffers (Deliveroo) + 1 TBC
- Informal networking
Who is this for?
You’ll likely get the most value if you:
- Work in HR, people analytics, HR systems, reporting or insights
- Are curious about moving into a people analytics role and want to understand what the work actually involves
- Produce, interpret or use people data and want to improve how it’s explained and applied
You don’t need to be an expert but an interest in data, evidence and thoughtful decision-making will help.
This session is in person, hosted in a central London venue. We're really grateful to One Model who are sponsoring the evening, keeping us entertained and well hydrated! Each speaker will talk about their working experience in People Analytics and last max. 30 minutes for all speakers. The rest of the evening is unstructured, giving you plenty of time to network and discuss the talks with peers.
We're a really friendly bunch and would love to meet you! There's no pressure to speak in front of others, but lots of opportunities to say hello to other people in small groups working in a similar space to you. Share horror stories, ask questions, and hear what others are working on! We're here to make you feel welcome and share our experience about working in PA 😊
Why join?
People analytics can feel opaque from the outside, and lonely once you’re doing it. This group exists to:
- Demystify what people analytics really means in practice
- Help you learn from others’ experience (sins and wins!)
- Build confidence in how you think about and use people data
- Connect with others at different stages of their people analytics journey
If you’re working with people data or thinking about moving into the field, you’ll feel right at home!
Who are the sponsors?
We're really lucky to have the One Model team sponsoring our event. They're making sure we have a lovely venue and plenty of drinks to keep everyone hydrated. We owe them a huge thank you!
If you haven't heard of One Model before, they're a people analytics platform, enabling you to bring all of your HR (and business) data together. Once everything is combined, the platform will unlock so many more opportunities from your data, from strong data visualisation and reporting, to predictive insights 🧙♂️
You can learn more about them here - https://www.onemodel.co/, or speak to a member of the One Model team on the night.
We charge a small ticket fee to cover the additional admin time involved in hosting in-person events, to raise a small pool of funds to help us organise future events and benefits for our members, and to encourage people to attend and therefore ensure our tickets numbers are accurate. This is refundable until a few days before the event, so do apply for a refund if you can no longer make it.
If your organisation would be willing to host us, then please reach out! If you haven't joined us already, or would like to learn more, we have a LinkedIn group where we share information, ideas and event updates - https://www.linkedin.com/groups/13109513/.
Supplier tickets - we really appreciate the suppliers who get involved in our community. In order to ensure that our community focuses on our practitioners, we only offer a limited number of tickets for suppliers. This will be about 1/10th of booked tickets, so more tickets will become available as practitioners purchase their tickets. There is a small fee attached to these tickets to help us fund community iniatitives. These tickets apply to people working in external roles like sales, product, and recruitment. This does not apply to people analytics / HR consultants, nor to anyone else actively practising people analytics on a daily basis, regardless of their job titles. If you are unsure whether this ticket applies to you, please reach out to Lara Holding-Jones on LinkedIn.
