About this Event
Our MAX Annual Meeting is our signature event for bringing our members together. This year, we also commemorate our 12th anniversary of the workforce development we know as MAX. Since 2014, MAX has worked to strengthen connections, collaborations, and practices among workforce developers and organizations engaged in workforce development. Our MAX Annual Meeting will take place on Wednesday, December 9th, 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Georgia Power Headquarters. We look forward to this annual gathering with our beloved MAX members!
Our keynote speaker will be Anna Roach, Executive Director & CEO of the Atlanta Regional Commission, whose vision is to create One Great Region through its mission to foster thriving communities for all within the Atlanta region through collaborative, data-informed planning and investments. As Executive Director & CEO, Ms. Roach manages the agency’s $104 million operating budget and leads a talented team that works with local governments and community partners to improve life in the Atlanta region. ARC’s portfolio includes regional transportation planning, aging services, community development, water resources management, workforce development, and homeland security coordination.
During this time, we will recognize the recipient of the 2026 Wendell Dallas Excellence in Leadership Award, in honor of our founding board chair, Wendell Dallas. This award recognizes individuals who have gone above and beyond in providing leadership in workforce development through the Metro Atlanta eXchange for Workforce Solutions (MAX) and/or MAX partners. An individual recognized through this award is known for leading with integrity, devotion, and selflessness in service to others in the workforce development sector.
At this year's meeting, we will also graduate our second cohort of Leadership MAX, presented by Amazon, our program to support existing and emerging leaders in the workforce field. Come join us as we celebrate the Leadership MAX Class of 2026 and welcome our second cohort, the Leadership MAX Class of 2027!
Last but not least, we will receive updates from MAX Chair Dana Inman, President & CEO of the Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency and the leadership team of MAX.
