Aaron McGregor, violin
Lucia Capellaro, cello
In commemoration of the bicentenary of the death of Scotland’s finest violin-maker, this programme explores music that might have been heard on Hardie’s instruments at the time they were built. Bringing together traditional and classical Scottish music, the concert is a chance to hear some of Matthew Hardie’s finest instruments, including violins from 1795 and 1810, a cello from 1795, and a Thomas Hardie violin from 1851.
