About this Event
That knot in your stomach before a mammogram. The callback you weren't expecting. The days spent refreshing your patient portal, waiting on results. There's a name for that feeling: scanxiety. And you don't have to carry it alone.
Join fitness professional Terran Lamp of Terran L. Fitness for an evening that's part gentle movement, part honest conversation, and all about giving you space to exhale. This isn't a clinical lecture. It's a warm, welcoming room where real experts and real stories meet, and where you'll walk away feeling more informed, more prepared, and a whole lot less alone.
What to expect:
- A gentle, grounding stretch led by Terran to help you settle in, breathe deep, and get present. No fitness experience needed, and every body is welcome.
- A heart-to-heart panel featuring a nurse, a licensed therapist, and a caregiver who will cover what really happens during a mammogram or follow-up scan, what dense breast tissue means, and why a callback doesn't automatically mean the worst.
- Real tools for real anxiety, including healthy ways to sit with uncertainty and how to talk to your partner, family, or friends about your fears without feeling like a burden.
- Lived experience and everyday coping tips that feel less like a doctor's visit and more like advice from a friend.
- Open audience Q&A where your questions and your voice matter just as much as the experts'.
- A closing breathing moment to help you leave feeling calm, grounded, and cared for.
- A community resource table with early detection information, local screening resources, and an optional reminder sign-up to schedule your own mammogram.
Who it's for: Anyone who has ever felt anxious about a breast scan or results, anyone who is supporting someone through it, and anyone who wants to feel more confident about their own breast health.
Bring: Your yoga mat and comfy clothes. Chair seating will also be available, so come as you are! Water will be provided.
Come for the stretch. Stay for the conversation. Leave feeling lighter.
Reserve your spot today. Space is limited.
Meet Your Host: Terran Lamp
Terran Lamp knows the waiting room better than most. A competitive bodybuilder, cancer survivor, and founder of Terran L. Fitness, she lives and trains with a brain tumor, a pacemaker, and one kidney, so the anxiety of scans and results isn't just a topic for her. It's part of her life. Terran recently launched R.I.G.H.T. 540, a fitness program for cancer survivors and people with chronic illnesses who've been told intense movement isn't for them. At Mastering Your Scanxiety, she'll guide you through gentle, grounding stretches and lead an honest conversation about breathing, coping, and staying strong through the wait.
