Margate Professional Class with Harriet
Harriet's class will move from horizontal to vertical, focusing on mobilising, expanding and retracting to create flow and break it. Expect floor work, improvistation and a juicey phrase of movement or two.
A bit more about Harriet:
Harriet is a dance artist, maker, and improviser based in Margate. A graduate of Laban, she received the Marion North Award for outstanding achievement in performance. Her current practice focuses on authentic movement and playful, embodied performance.
She has performed at major venues and festivals across the UK and internationally, including Dance Umbrella, B-Motion (Operaestate Festival Veneto), Dutch Dance Festival, the Wellcome Trust, Turner Contemporary, Handel Hendrix, Kings Place, and for the BBC. performing for choreographers such as Charles Linehan, Rahel Vonmoos, Willi Dorner, Sivan Rubinstein and Simon Vincenz. Her solo commissions include RAILINGS for Electric Medway, and she is currently in research and development for her new show FAILURE, premiering in Spring 2027.
Margate Pro Class is aimed at those who have trained in dance/ theatre at higher education or further.
