All Wales Manual Handling Passport – Refresher (1 Day)Moving and positioning is a daily part of care — and when it is done well, it protects the person you are supporting, protects staff from injury, and helps maintain dignity and comfort. This one-day refresher follows the All Wales Manual Handling Passport Scheme and helps learners re-align with a consistent, practical approach they can apply confidently in real working environments.
Learners revisit why techniques work (body mechanics, load, balance and posture) and then apply that knowledge through supervised practice. The refresher focuses on safe decision-making as much as hands-on skill: choosing the right method, using equipment correctly, and knowing when to stop and reassess.
