🎶 Mansbridge Melody Makers 🎶Looking for a fun, friendly way to spend an evening? Why not join Mansbridge Melody Makers, a relaxed community singing group where local people come together to enjoy music, make new connections, and have a good laugh.
We meet on the first Monday of every month at Round About Café, and everyone is welcome. Whether you sing all the time, only in the shower, or haven't sung in years, there's no pressure and no experience needed.
Each month the group chooses a theme and everyone is invited to suggest songs in advance. Previous themes have included Divas, Boy Bands, Country Music, Songs with Girls' Names, and different musical decades. This means every session is a little different and the playlist is shaped by the people who attend.
The evening starts with a relaxed check-in, giving everyone a chance to catch up and share how they are doing. We then spend the rest of the session singing along to backing tracks with lyrics displayed on a screen. There are no auditions, no solos unless you want one, and no need to read music.
Over the years, the group has become about much more than singing. Members support one another, celebrate achievements together, and have formed friendships with people who live just around the corner but may never otherwise have met. New faces are always welcomed and it's never too late to join.
