Budapestre is elhozza legújabb lemezét Eddie Van Halen világhírű fia.A GRAMMY-díjra jelölt dalszerző, énekes, multiinstrumentalista és producer Wolfgang Van Halen zenekara, a Mammoth 2026-ban Magyarországra érkezik: december 8-án a Dürer Kert színpadán ad koncertet Budapesten.
Wolfgang Van Halen a Mammoth élén az elmúlt évek egyik legizgalmasabb hard rock sikersztorit szállította. Zenéje önálló identitással bír, amely lenyűgöző hangszeres tudására (dob, basszusgitár, billentyűk, gitár) és az azonnal fülbemászó dallamokra épül. A Mammoth kevesebb, mint öt év alatt már százmillió feletti hallgatottságot tudhat magáénak, világszerte teltházas koncerteket adott és a legfontosabb listák élén is rendre szerepel.
A 2021-ben megjelent Mammoth WVH debütáló album a Billboard 200-as lista 12. helyén nyitott, miközben három Billboard-listát is vezetett. A Top Hard Rock Album, Top Független Album és a Top Rock Album listán is első helyet elérő lemez Distance című dala listavezető rock rádiós sláger lett, és GRAMMY-jelölést kapott a Legjobb rockdal kategóriában. A 2023-as Mammoth II tovább építette a gyorsan berobbanó karriert. A legjobb ötbe került a Billboard Top Album Sales listán és újra az élre került a Top Hard Rock Albums rangsorban. A zenekar már olyan előadókkal turnézott, mint a Metallica, a Foo Fighters, a Pantera és a Creed, de Wolfgang szerepelt már a Jimmy Kimmel Live! színpadán, az Oscar átadón 2024-ben Ken dalát játszva Ryan Goslinggal, és zenélt Ozzy Osbourne Rock and Roll Hall of Fame beiktatásán is. Magyarországon legutóbb 2022-ben hallhatta élőben a közönség az elsöprő erővel rendelkező Mammoth dalokat, amikor az Alter Bridge vendégeként jártak nálunk.
A Mammoth legújabb albuma, a The End új korszakot nyit a zenekar életében. A lemez nem egy számítógépen született, hanem élőben, miközben a dalokat szó szerint oda-vissza rohangálva a hangszerek között rögzítette Van Halen. Ösztönös megszólalása, hihetetlen energiája a kreatív megújulás lenyomata, miközben olyan számokkal erősítette tovább a Mammoth karakterét, mint a címadó The End, a groove-os The Spell, a stadionhimnusz Same Old Song vagy a kifejezetten súlyos Selfish. Eddie Van Halen’s world-famous son brings his latest album to Budapest.
The GRAMMY-nominated songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Wolfgang Van Halen and his band Mammoth are coming to Hungary in 2026: they will perform live in Budapest on December 8 at Dürer Kert.
Fronting Mammoth, Wolfgang Van Halen has delivered one of the most exciting hard rock success stories of recent years. His music has a distinct identity, built on impressive instrumental prowess (drums, bass, keyboards, guitar) and instantly catchy melodies. In less than five years, Mammoth have amassed over 100 million streams, played sold-out shows around the world, and consistently appeared at the top of the most important charts.
Released in 2021, the debut album Mammoth WVH opened at No. 12 on the Billboard 200, while also topping three Billboard charts: Top Hard Rock Albums, Top Independent Albums, and Top Rock Albums. The track “Distance” became a No. 1 rock radio hit and earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rock Song. The 2023 follow-up, Mammoth II, continued the band’s rapidly rising career, reaching the Top 5 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart and once again claiming the No. 1 spot on the Top Hard Rock Albums ranking.
The band has toured with artists such as Metallica, Foo Fighters, Pantera, and Creed. Wolfgang has also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, performed “Ken” with Ryan Gosling at the 2024 Academy Awards, and played at Ozzy Osbourne’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Hungarian audiences last experienced Mammoth’s explosive live energy in 2022, when the band visited as special guests of Alter Bridge.
Mammoth’s latest album, The End, marks a new era in the band’s career. Rather than being created on a computer, the record was captured live, with t Van Halen literally running back and forth between instruments while recording the songs. Its instinctive sound and incredible energy reflect a creative rebirth, further defining Mammoth’s character with tracks such as the title song “The End,” the groove-driven “The Spell,” the stadium-ready anthem “Same Old Song,” and the particularly heavy “Selfish.” The release is also a milestone: Wolfgang Van Halen is now carrying the project forward simply under the name Mammoth, which he himself describes as a rebirth.
The Budapest concert promises to be a special occasion, showcasing live the elemental power and musical versatility that have earned Mammoth worldwide acclaim from both industry professionals and fans.
