Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Hampton Roads
Join us for an inspiring in-person event dedicated to raising awareness and supporting those affected by breast cancer in the Hampton Roads community. It's a great chance to come together, show support, and make a real difference. Lace up your sneakers, bring your friends, and let's take strides towards a cancer-free future!
Donation drop-off and the park open at 9:30 AM. After our presentation on the stage at 10:45 AM, the 5K walk will begin approximately at 11 AM.
The Virginia Beach Strides walk will have a DJ, a survivor tent with special prizes and gifts for survivors, thrivers and survivors will receive sashes to honor them along the route, we will have survivors speak and a Zoomba warm-up, then cheerleaders of all ages cheer on the survivors who lead off the start of the route. We encourage the Striders to stop in at restaurants along the boardwalk since is not a race.
Can't attend the day of? We need volunteers all year long.
