200,000 Oregonians could soon lose access to mental healthcare due to Medicaid cuts starting this January. Join your neighbors in a powerful visual protest ahead of midterm elections. Stand in line at our clinic to symbolize the huge number of people who will lose access to care. 270 People Needed!

Details:
When? Thursday, October 22nd from 3pm to 4:15pm. Please arrive 5 minutes before 3pm.
What? We'll form a line at William Temple House to symbolize the Oregonians that will be impacted by Medicaid cuts. Our team will film this line to create an advocacy video to make the growing need for mental health care in our community visible.
All you have to do is stand in line. Bring your family and friends - especially children - so we can show the diversity of people who will be impacted and who we serve. We'll have counselors on-site to tell you about what we're seeing at our clinic.
Why are we doing this? Our Counseling Clinic provides low-cost counseling to Portlanders without insurance and Portlanders with insurance who cannot afford their co-pays. With new rules restricting Medicaid access in January 2027, it's estimated that 200,000 Oregonians could lose healthcare--and face difficulty finding affordable care.
By participating, you're showing up for your neighbors who will be impacted. You're making a statement that these support systems matter.
Where? At William Temple House, 2023 NW Hoyt St, in NW Portland. We will be outside so be prepared for rain.
