We are delighted to announce our second Major Smoke Up, the follow up to last year's successful cannabis outing held in the Phoenix Park.We are the Major Group for Cannabis Reform (MGCR), a collective of cannabis activists who have joined forces to advance the cause for adult cannabis consumption, both medical and recreational. We are composed of cannabis consumers, cannabis critics, cannabis paraphernalia shopowners and shopkeepers, and cannabis aficionados.
Last year, on the 10th of July, we presented a day for cannabis users alike, to come together and partake in a day of joy and enlightenment, to help push our aim of awareness and stigma reduction. It was a surprising success, with roughly 600 people having attended to lend their support for the cause. All within the lovely surroundings of the Phoenix Park, at the Wellington Monument site.
It was a heartwarming joy to witness the vast variety of people, both Irish and foreign, from all walks of life, come together to share their love for their common interest and lay their support for cannabis reform.
The second edition of our annual event is due for the 10th of July, in the same location as last year. Judging by the response we've received on our social media platforms, we anticipate an even more successful outcome and attendance level.
