Requiem for Mohács speaks of solemn times and tragic heroes. Its world premiere looks ahead to the 500th anniversary of Hungary’s national calamity. Zoltán Zsuráfszky and Zsuzsa Zs. Vincze’s latest theatrical vision does not merely commemorate the event; it also shows how Hungarian culture held firm even during the country’s most severe historical traumas. The performance by the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble will be both spectacular and thought-provoking, transforming our memories of history into a shared communal experience.
