You're invited to attend The Magic of Literacy, a fantastical and FREE event that celebrates reading!
The 5th Annual Magic of Literacy event will feature activities for kids and teens, story times with authors, captivating performances, photos with characters, trick-or-treating, and more!
Each child will leave the event with a FREE book!
What Elemental Reader Magic will you wield?
Visit the Tarot Tent to discover if you're a 🔥 Fire Reader, 🌊 Water Reader, 🍃Earth Reader, or 🌬️Air Reader. Each type of elemental reader will have a different path as well as different qualities and powers.
After a visit with the Story Sage, explore literary genre realms with themed activities, book recommendations, and more!
After visiting each genre realm, you will be given a book (while supplies last) and the ultimate title of Story Sage!

We are thrilled to be partnering with A Bewitched Bazaar, a witchy, female-forward vendor market taking place in the outdoor gardens of the Chattanooga Choo Choo during our event. We encourage you to enjoy both events!
We believe in the Magic of Literacy!
In an effort to promote literacy and fight book censorship, a group of Chattanooga locals started the Magic of Literacy,a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to make Inclusive & diverse literature more accessible.
The purpose of this event is to introduce children of all ages to new books, authors, and genres that will expand their minds and teach them about the world!
