Music, Gettysburg! will present Lyrica Chamber Music in “Storm and Song,” a program featuring works by Robert Schumann, Clara Schumann and Felix Mendelssohn, on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 4 p.m. The concert will take place at the Church of the Abiding Presence on the Gettysburg campus of United Lutheran Seminary, 147 Seminary Ridge. The concert is free and open to everyone.

Pianist David Kaplan, violinist Suliman Tekalli and cellist Ani Kalayjian will bring together their international performing experience for an afternoon of expressive Romantic chamber music.

The program opens with Robert Schumann’s Intermezzo from the “F.A.E. Sonata,” followed by Clara Schumann’s Piano Trio in G minor, Op. 17. The musicians will also perform Felix Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, Op. 49. Together, these works explore lyrical beauty, dramatic intensity and the rich interplay of piano and strings.

Kaplan has performed at Carnegie Hall, London’s Barbican and the Berlin Philharmonie, and is known for programs that connect classical repertoire with contemporary music. He serves as co-artistic director of Lyrica Chamber Music and is a core member of Decoda, the affiliate ensemble of Carnegie Hall.

Tekalli, a top prizewinner at the 2015 Seoul International Music Competition, has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician across North and South America, Europe and Asia. His performance credits include Wigmore Hall, the Kennedy Center and the Seoul Arts Center.

Kalayjian’s international career encompasses solo and chamber performances, teaching and innovative concert programming. She has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and major music festivals worldwide, and serves as co-artistic director of Lyrica Chamber Music.

Music, Gettysburg! is a premier concert series featuring international, national, regional and local musical artists for the south-central Pennsylvania region.
