Lucrecia Dalt har det med at printe sig ind på publikums nethinde med sine dybt fascinerende koncerter, hvor elektronisk musik, dramatiske rytmer og sanselig tilstedeværelse går op i en højere enhed. Vi har flere gange haft fornøjelsen af Dalt solo på ALICE, men til maj indtager den colombianske sangerinde og multiinstrumentalist vores scene med fuldt band. Med sig har hun det anmelderroste og dybt personlige nye album “A Danger to Ourselves” (2025), der har navne som Juana Molina på listen over samarbejdspartnere.

Lucrecia Dalt har en usædvanlig baggrund som geoteknisk ingeniør, og netop mødet mellem det naturvidenskabelige og det kunstneriske er en grundpille i hendes musik. Hendes kompositioner bevæger sig i et ambient og futuristisk lydunivers, hvor abstrakte, dragende rytmer, teksturer og elektroniske detaljer flettes sammen med et intenst lag af vokaler og spoken word. Teksterne har især på tidligere udgivelser trukket på begreber fra geoscience og kvantefysik og forvandler dem til poetiske refleksioner over eksistens, relationer og verdens skrøbelighed.
Siden de tidlige udgivelser har Lucrecia Dalt markeret sig som en af de mest originale stemmer på den internationale eksperimenterende musikscene. Med albumtrilogien “Anticlines”, “No era sólida” og det prisbelønnede “¡Ay!” på RVNG Intl. har hun for alvor cementeret sin position, ligesom hendes arbejde med film- og tv-scores har udvidet hendes lydlige univers. Senest har hun udgivet “A Danger to Ourselves” – et mere indadvendt og personligt værk, hvor stemmen står klarere, og musikken kredser om kærlighed, sårbarhed og menneskets indre landskaber. Albummet er skabt med bidrag fra bl.a. David Sylvian, Camille Mandoki og ALICE-aktuelle Juana Molina. På scenen er Lucrecia Dalt kendt for at skabe en intens og nærværende koncertoplevelse, hvor publikum inviteres ind i et lydligt rum, der både føles intimt og kosmisk. Lucrecia Dalt har spillet både på Roskilde Festival og ALICE, og vi glæder os til at byde hende velkommen tilbage til maj, når hun indtager vores scene med fuldt band.

Lucrecia Dalt has a way of imprinting herself on the audience’s mind with her deeply captivating concerts, where electronic music, dramatic rhythms, and a sensual stage presence merge into a powerful whole. We have had the pleasure of hosting Dalt solo at ALICE on several occasions, but this May the Colombian singer and multi-instrumentalist returns to our stage with a full band. She brings with her the critically acclaimed and deeply personal new album A Danger to Ourselves (2025), featuring collaborators such as Juana Molina.
Lucrecia Dalt has an unusual background as a geotechnical engineer, and the meeting point between natural science and artistic expression forms a cornerstone of her music. Her compositions unfold within an ambient and futuristic sound universe, where abstract, hypnotic rhythms, textures, and electronic details intertwine with an intense layer of vocals and spoken word. Especially on earlier releases, her lyrics have drawn on concepts from geoscience and quantum physics, transforming them into poetic reflections on existence, relationships, and the fragility of the world.
Since her early releases, Lucrecia Dalt has established herself as one of the most original voices on the international experimental music scene. With the album trilogy Anticlines, No era sólida, and the award-winning ¡Ay! on RVNG Intl., she has firmly cemented her position, while her work with film and television scores has further expanded her sonic universe. Most recently, she released A Danger to Ourselves—a more introspective and personal work in which the voice stands clearer and the music revolves around love, vulnerability, and the inner landscapes of the human mind. The album features contributions from, among others, David Sylvian, Camille Mandoki, and ALICE-regular Juana Molina. On stage, Lucrecia Dalt is known for creating an intense and immersive concert experience, inviting the audience into a sonic space that feels both intimate and cosmic. Having performed at both Roskilde Festival and ALICE, we look forward to welcoming her back this May, when she takes over our stage with a full band.
