Please join us for a game night featuring: La Lotería Niuyorkina an educational board game co created by CUNY students and professor Diana Higuera featuring Mateo Oldenburg’s illustrations. The game is made up of 24 cards depicting characters, places, and objects representing the Latinx communities in New York City. Come with friends and family as we play together, learn more about the project, and celebrate our heritage and bilingualism!
This pedagogical game/toolkit is available and accessible to all as an Open Educational Resource. It was originally funded by the CUNY Adjunct Incubator Award in 2025.
Acompáñanos a jugar La Lotería Niuyorkina, un juego de mesa educativo creado en colaboración con estudiantes de CUNY y la profesora Diana Higuera. El juego consta de 24 cartas que representan personajes, lugares y objetos emblemáticos de las comunidades latinas en la ciudad de Nueva York. ¡Ven con amigos y familia para jugar, conocer más sobre el proyecto y celebrar nuestra herencia y bilingüismo!
