Curious about entrepreneurship, starting a business, or want to build entrepreneurial skills?
The Longo Family Be Your Own Boss (BYOB) workshop series is an in-person program delivered over 7 weeks (2-hours weekly) designed to help you evaluate ideas and turn them into successful businesses. You’ll learn to identify problems, understand your audience, and explore what makes a business viable. Whether you’re exploring entrepreneurship or eager to start your own business, the Longo Family Be Your Own Boss (BYOB) workshop series prepares you to create real business opportunities.
Participants will have the chance to compete for a share of $40,000 in funding to bring their ideas to life. To be eligible for the final pitch competition, participants must attend at least five of the seven sessions.
Only Week 1, Week 3 and Week 4 will take place at University of Guelph-Humber. The remaining workshops will take place at Humber North Campus (Room E201) or via alternative options provided for downtown/hybrid weeks.
