The Power of Connection: Supporting Health and Wellbeing at Work

What role does meaningful connection play in our health—and how can organisations create environments where people feel supported and able to thrive?

Join us for a morning of learning and conversation exploring the relationship between human connection, workplace culture and wellbeing. Together, we’ll consider how the pressures of modern working life affect our relationships, and what leaders can do to help people feel more connected.

Talk: Meaningful Connection and Workplace Wellbeing

Dr Faye Onaboye and Dr Haniah Patankar, Practising GPs, Well Collective

Stress and burnout can affect more than our performance at work. They can influence our physical and mental health, our relationships and our ability to connect with others.

Drawing on their experience as practising GPs, Faye and Haniah will bring a clinical perspective to how meaningful connections support wellbeing. They’ll explore the impact of workplace pressures and practical ways organisations can create environments where people feel supported and able to thrive.

The session will give HR professionals and leaders space to reflect on their own workplaces and consider how everyday interactions can contribute to a healthier, more connected culture.

About Faye and Haniah: Dr Faye Onaboye and Dr Haniah Patankar are practising GPs who run corporate wellbeing workshops through Well Collective. Their work focuses on optimising employee wellbeing and workplace resilience through practical, evidence-based health topics, including stress, burnout and the pressures of modern working life.

Workshop: Building Meaningful Connections

Connection grows through shared experiences. In the second part of the morning, we’ll put ideas into practice through a hands-on, interactive workshop designed to help you get to know the people around you beyond job titles and introductions.

Through guided conversations and shared activities, you’ll practise listening, explore what helps people feel understood and discover common ground. You’ll leave with stronger connections in the room and practical ideas to bring into your own teams and workplaces.
