September 19 Local Summer WalkIn partnership with the Sandy Hook Foundation, join us on Saturday, September 19 for our Local Summer Walk! Celebrate the season looking for all your favorite coastal birds; grab your adventure buddy and join us on Saturday, September 19 from 8:00 – 10:00 am.
Birding is for everyone. All are welcome on our friendly and respectful Beachy Birder Adventures!
We will meet at the Life-Saving Service Station of Gateway National Recreation Area, Sandy Hook. We will walk on the paved, flat multi-use path and maybe a boardwalk trail or two for about two miles. Please dress for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes, bring water, snacks, a hat and binoculars if you have them. We have 10 pairs of 8×25 birding binoculars for you to borrow as needed, and we will have a spotting scope to look through as well.
Our outings are rain or shine but in the event of extreme weather we will reschedule for a more enjoyable experience. Let’s get birdy!
