After a sold-out screening on Burns Night, we’re bringing an additional screening of Local Hero to Averys for St Andrew’s Day. Filmed almost entirely on location in Scotland and enduringly heartwarming to this day, enjoy this beloved film in style at Averys Wine Merchants, with a Vintage Screening with a difference…Vintage Screenings pair classic films with thematically linked wine tastings selected by Averys’ resident experts, guiding you through them during the film. On this occasion, however, we will be hosting a Scotch whisky tasting experience to complement both the film and the annual celebration of Scotland’s patron saint.
Your evening starts with a sparkling wine reception on arrival. Over the course of the film, you will sample four single malt whiskies from the key regions of Scotland with tasting notes from Averys’ resident experts (or a wine flight if you’d prefer - we can’t promise the wines will be from Scotland though!).
