About this Event
An afternoon of live jazz and soulful vocals in the elegant surroundings of University Arms. Cambridge saxophonist Sam Miles brings together a stellar quintet to perform jazz standards through fresh, contemporary arrangements: familiar favourites, reimagined by an exceptional Cambridge and London ensemble.
Special Guest: Georgia Van Etten
For this special performance, the quintet is joined by acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter Georgia Van Etten, whose powerful, soulful voice draws on soul, folk, country, rock and cinematic pop. Georgia has performed at festivals including Porretta Soul Festival and The Long Road, and headlined London's Omeara. Her debut album, Deep Black Water, earned international attention, with features from NME, MTV, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4.
