Grammy Award-winning baritone Christopher Maltman takes a short break from singing at the Metropolitan Opera to offer a recital of “Gods and Exiles,” a curated program of French, Italian, and German songs and opera arias from a golden century of song. Collaborating with Bryan Wagorn—assistant conductor at the Met and renowned as a soloist, chamber musician, and recital accompanist—the Grammy Award-winning singer presents gems by Jules Massenet, Giuseppe Verdi, Richard Strauss, and Richard Wagner. A few surprises from the Library’s collections are also be in store.
