In December, Live at Our Place presents a blend between music, spoken word and performance. For the first act, hip-hop collective Time Tellers will deliver a creative experience that mixes live rap and dance performances with raw, cutting-edge sounds and prototype instruments. As a second act, Guido Hoek presents “Metamorphose”, a theatrical (rock) music performance showing the struggle of a young man wrestling through patriarchal systems to find a space of true self-love.
ABOUT TIME TELLERS
Born in Amsterdam, Time Tellers is a collective of visionary artists pushing the boundaries of live performance and art. The three founders bonded over the love for hiphop culture being first bboys and DJs to MCs, and writers.
Gonzy is a dynamic French artist currently based in Amsterdam. Starting with dance as a teenager, he quickly became captivated by freestyle, rooted in Hip-Hop in all its different forms. After graduating from the Juste Debout School, Gonzy discovered his passion for Djing and music production, inspired by music and dance he created his self-built MIDI device, the beApad, which blends the two together. Gonzy is dedicated to creating, sharing and inspiring through his passion for Hip-hop.
Okrad is an Italian artist based in Amsterdam. His journey began with a few years of martial arts training in his teens, which instilled a strong sense of discipline. Discovering a passion for dance soon after, he moved to Florence to train at a hip-hop dance academy, refining his skills and love of the art. After, Okrad relocated to Amsterdam where he met Gonzy. This marked a turning point as he immersed himself in DJing and MCing, shaping his artistic voice.

ABOUT GUIDO HOEK
Guido started off as an actor, to later become a performance artist, and conclude as a singing performer. He taunts the status-quo with mockery and theatrical gestures. After his bachelor in music theatre, he released two works: an EP “Character Development” of atmospherical music; and his single “Desolation 52”, a poem to a lonely whale.
After earning a Masters of Music at the Conservatory of Utrecht, he went on a more political path, combining his producing and acting interests into a vibrant combination of performance, theatre and music show. He currently works together with incredibly talented musicians to combine everything into a coherent critique on today’s society.
