Calling all little makers, crafty creatures, curious kids and Permie families! We’re getting together for another relaxed Little Permies family afternoon at Eva’s place in Hamilton Hill.
This time, we’re turning our attention to battling the wasteful season and having a play with ways to make gifting a little more creative, useful and sustainable.
Think DIY gifts, upcycling, homemade goodies, clever wrapping ideas and things you can make rather than buy.
We’ll have a couple of hands-on activities to get you started, but this is deliberately a relaxed and fairly unstructured afternoon. Come along to make something, share an idea, swap a homemade gift, let the kids play and connect with other like-minded families.
Got a sustainable gift idea, clever reuse trick or DIY activity you’d love to share? Please let us know and bring it along!
What to expect:
• Make: 1–2 hands-on making activities
• Share: DIY and sustainable gift ideas to share and inspire
• Swap: The chance to swap or share homemade gifts and creations
• Play: Plenty of time for chatting and playing
This is particularly aimed at families with pre-primary and primary-aged kids, but all ages are welcome. You don’t need to be a crafting whiz or a seasoned Permie. Just come along, have a play and see what you discover.
🎒 What to bring:
• A DIY gift, sustainable idea or reuse trick to share, if you have one
• A water bottle and snack to share
• Outdoor/play clothes
📅 When: Sunday 15 November
🕑 Time: 2:00 pm
📍 Where: 9 Fluellen Way, Hamilton Hill
🚲 Getting there: Please walk or cycle if you can. If you're driving, please park on the corner verge across the road and take care when coming in, as there’ll be kids about.
