About this Event
The Little Jamaica Music History Walking Tour is an interactive and educational tour on Eglinton Avenue West throughout the summer, beginning in May will operate until October. It will operate twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Participants will meet at the Fairbank Subway Station (Fairbank Subway Station). The tour begins at the intersection of Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue, continues toward Marlee Avenue, and ends at the Monica's Cosmetic Supplies.
Along the route, participants will visit historic landmarks including Trea-Jah-Isle Records, Rap's Restaurant, Wisdom Barbershop, and Reggae Lane mural. The tour is a rain or shine event, except in severe weather. Admission for children under 10 years old is free.
This walking tour is a fundraising effort to help the CBMA platform Black Canadian music through archiving, research, and programming.
