Join us for an immersive and hands-on introduction to beekeeping, without a single bee in sight.
Designed for curious children aged 7-12. We will learn facinating facts about bees and pollinators, discover the tools of the trade, and make some crafts. Then we will get to harvest real honey together, and finish up by turning our harvest into our own personal honey-sugar body scrub!
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
- Session 1: Meet the Bees- hive/tool exploration, bee and pollinator talk and craft.
- Session 2: Liquid Gold- explore beekeepers tools, and hands on honey extraction.
- Session 3: Bring it Home- Make your own personal honey-sugar body scrub!
