About this Event

Join Lit City Book Club for our October discussion of Take What You Can by Naima Coster, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and Diasporic Blackness.

This month's selection follows Val and Milly, the only two Black students on a study abroad trip in France who become instant best friends, and traces how motherhood, class, and the weight of a shared past test their decade-long friendship.

We're excited to be hosting for the first time at Cafe con Libros, an Afro-Latina owned bookstore, for a conversation centering an Afro-Latina writer.

You do not need to finish the book to attend.
