The Balourdet String Quartet performs Amy Beach's restless String Quartet in One Movement and Maurice Ravel's shimmering String Quartet in F Major. Flutist Demarre McGill joins the ensemble for Beach's Theme and Variations and Joan Tower's Rising. Both works by these prominent American female composers weave the flute and strings into a colorful tapestry of sound.
