Lino Printing Workshop | The Nightmare Before Christmas by Tim Burton
Explore the world of lino printing in this themed workshop inspired by the iconic artwork and characters of The Nightmare Before Christmas by Tim Burton.
You'll begin by learning the fundamentals of lino printing, including carving, inking and printing techniques. Taking inspiration from the film's memorable characters, spooky scenery and distinctive visual style, you'll carve your own lino plate before printing a series of unique prints.
A pre-drawn design and visual references will be provided to help you get started, but you're also welcome to develop your own composition and imagery if you're feeling adventurous.
The carving process is calm and meditative, while the printing stage is full of surprise and excitement as your designs come to life on paper. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a collection of striking prints to take home – perfect for framing, gifting or inspiring future printmaking projects.
New to lino printing?
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and experienced printmakers alike. Whether you join on your own or with a friend, it's a fun and inspiring way to spend your time creatively.
All materials will be provided. Please bring your own apron or wear clothes you don't mind getting a little inky!
